The NBA 2K league exhibition event to join together the 3 million basketball fans of the Emirates with former and current international players transforming Abu Dhabi into a sports hub after it has opened doors for competitions in tennis and Formula One.

DCT Abu Dhabi and NBA partner to host two pre-season games on October 2022 for the first time in the Gulf. The multi-year partnership hopes to spread throughout the Arab world challenging talented boys and girls of all ages to compete against NBA idols in competitions to be streamed live on television.

This will be a nationwide movement based on the constant encouragement of learning basketball targeting people of all ages and backgrounds in schools, academies, and basketball fields to promote a healthy lifestyle and well-being amongst all citizens.

While for those unable to learn basketball but still have a passion for the game, will get the chance to meet renowned basketball champions live in coaching sessions and interactive events as well as watch them play in stadiums.

The event, however, has another side to it highlighting the true meaning of basketball, as the two organizers aim at founding an environment for talent development that goes hand in hand with tolerance, diversity, and teamwork in year-round events.

These values will be communicated by several teams, whose names will be disclosed later on, who will have time to interact with fans and train kids during pre-season games during more flexible schedules.
